Comments:    Here is the update on what we have been up to just this past summer, '08. Two of my older daughters went over to Hungary for a month. My husband flew out with them, stayed a few days and then I went to pick the girls up at the end of July. I was able to stay 5 days, and we crammed a lot of traveling in that short amount of time. It was so nice to see the country again, especially the people. This was the first time that Robi and I had been back. Next time, we hope to be able to go together. It was so cool to share that experience with my girls and so neat that everyone was able to pronounce their names. They enjoyed meeting their cousins and reacquainting themselves with their grandparents.

I just want to thank those of you that came to the reunion, it would not have been as fun without you all showing up!
I hope you all had a good time and I feel terrible that I couldn't at least say hello to each and every one of you. I had started to lose my voice at the game and by the end of Saturday night, I couldn't speak at all. My voice didn't come back for a week! I think the kids and Robi probably enjoyed that. I will try and keep the voice in check by the time our next reunion rolls around!

School Story:    How great is our class and Gilbert High?
I remember thinking Gilbert was just too small, and now I wish that my kids had the opportunity to feel that community connection. Gone are the days when you can letter in 2 or 3 sports a year and participate as much as you want.
Sophomore year, Heather Burton and I got a pep bus to go and see the Band at their State competition. We weren't successful at getting enough seats to fill it, but it was still a great lesson in politics. I also loved being a part of the barnyard bunch at basketball games.
Another highlight was being able to walk with Mike Howell at graduation. He rightfully should have recieved the first diploma, but they gave it to the girl instead. It is extremely cool to say that I recieved the first diploma from the "new" high school. I have even used that line in a few commencement speeches. Don't worry, I also add that I wasn't Valedictorian, but I was smart enough to figure out who it was going to be. :)

Christmas Picture 2007

Here is Heather and I before a concert. It was the Regeneration Concert, Human League, ABC, Missing Persons and other bands of our era. Nicely phrased "regeneration", remember when it used to be 'alternative'? 8/1/2008

My four year old is admiring her handiwork in the background. I think that's fingernail polish.
